Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American writer and actress popular for her portrayal of Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in the 1960s. The actress began her career in stage shows during the 1950s, beginning in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Then she appeared in a variety of Broadway performances before becoming an international star alongside Li'l Abner in. Also, she released her debut album of music, titled It's Time to Tina during the same year. Louise began the first phase of her Hollywood career in 1958 in which she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a dramatic film. It was an enormous commercial success and Louise earned her the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. During this time she entered the Actors Studio in New York and began a relationship with Lee Strasberg as his student. Her contract was signed with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise did a great job juggling Broadway as well as Hollywood. She played somber different characters, which contrasted with the glamorous doll she was portrayed as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series also featured her as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in recent years she also has made a name for herself by being a successful and acclaimed director in numerous well-known TV shows including Supernatural as well as The 100. The family that she was raised with moved away from Essex to Toronto in the year she was born, and there she resided for growing up and in adolescence. When she was chosen to play the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and is a resident of Vancouver ever since then.
